With over 30 years of educational leadership experience across Pakistan and Malaysia, Ms. Humaira Shahab brings a distinguished career in school leadership, curriculum development, and child-centered learning to BELH.
Her journey spans three decades with the Beaconhouse School System, where she rose from teacher to senior leadership across campuses in Islamabad, Karachi, and Petaling Jaya, Malaysia — including Head of School Secondary at Beaconhouse’s international campus in Malaysia. She is a Cambridge International Examinations Officer, a Google Certified Teacher, and holds a Diploma in Teaching with ICT Integration, alongside deep expertise in teacher training.
Why BELH
Across her years working with older students, Ms. Shahab noticed a pattern: capable young people reaching secondary school with gaps — not in intelligence, but in confidence, communication, independence, and resilience.
She came to see that these qualities aren’t things adolescence suddenly produces. They’re built early, through a child’s first relationships, environment, and opportunities to explore, express, choose, and belong.
That realization became BELH.
Our Philosophy
BE
First, children need to BE — to discover who they are.
BELONG
Then, they need to BELONG — to feel valued, connected, confident
BECOME
Through this foundation, they BECOME capable, curious, compassionate, and ready to lead.
Ms. Shahab’s vision for BELH isn’t just to shape successful learners — but confident young people with the foundations to become thoughtful, capable leaders of tomorrow.
